INTRODUCTION

At the beginning of the 1990´s the company employed the skills of its design engineers and was the first to put a brand new type of rotational mower for tall grass on the agricultural machinery market. Rotation mowers are easy to operate. They do not require any adjustments and they are low in maintenance. These qualities have, over the years, led to sickle-bar mowing being almost entirely replaced. The first product was a double-cylinder rotary mower (BDR 700) with a swath width of 70 cm, which became very popular within two years. The possibilities of the double-cylinder mower have been extended through the development of additional adapters based on customer requirements which has subsequently led to the development of the ROBUS system. Similarly, customer requirements led to the introduction on the market of a single-cylinder mower, the BDR 550, with a swath width of 58 cm. It was designed for the most demanding conditions on stands that had not been mowed for several years. In recent years the MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s. has identified a demand from customers for single-purpose mowers of a simple design and which are very easy to operate. At present there are already a wide range of mowers of this type available such as the OTAVA and BLANICE, and OTAVA super.
