ABOUT THE COMPANY
The joint-stock company MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. was established on 1 October, 2004 through the merger of UNI CZ a.s., Soběslav and ADACO a.s., Jindřichův Hradec. The company is continuing the more than eighty-year tradition of mechanical engineering at Soběslav (the original factory was founded in 1919).
At present the business activities concentrate on the manufacture and sale of components for: adjustable automotive pedal systems, motorised golf cars and similar utility vehicles, automatic washing machines, pneumatic brake systems, hydraulic and filtering systems, textile machines, printing press machines, wood working machines, and machine tools. In addition, the business also concentrates on the manufacture of pneumatic–hydraulic riveting tools.
Division Automotive (formerly a part of UNI CZ a.s.). Manufactures components for adjustable pedal systems. Its business partner is the American firm Driver’s Solution Worldwide, which is a significant automotive components supplier. Products from MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. can be found in cars such as Ford (e.g. Taurus, Navigator, Explorer, Windstar, Excursion), Jeep Willis (Grand Cherokee), Dodge (Ram), Nissan (TT) and others. In addition, the company also manufactures components for motorised golf cars and similar utility vehicles for the American company, Textron E-Z-GO. Another significant business partner of the Division Automotive is Electrolux, for which the company manufactures and delivers components for washing machines.
Division Machine Tools Manufactures riveting tools and small agricultural machinery.
Division Industrial Products (formerly a part of ADACO a.s.). Manufactures and sells a wide range of riveting tools for both professional and hobby use under the trademarks Avdel and Textron. The prevailing use of riveting tools is in electrical engineering and the automotive and aircraft industries. All the products are destined for export (50% of customers are from the EU, 50% from America, Asia, and Australia).
Division Pneumatic Systems (formerly a part of ADACO a.s.). Manufactures and sells components for pneumatic brake systems for lorries such as air compressors, spring brake cylinders, combined air pressure and vapour collector regulators intended mainly for Tatra, Avia and Karosa vehicles, as well as Zetor tractors.
Division Orders (formerly a part of UNI CZ a.s.). Primarily manufactures and sells components for hydraulic and filtering systems and for machine tools, textile machines, printing press machines and wood working machines. Major end buyers are PALL Corporation, Sultex AG, Goss Systemes Graphiques, Babolat, Sterling Sihi GmbH, Robert Bosch GmbH, Bosch Rexroth AG and Delta Kardašova Řečice a.s., and others.
The company is EN ISO 9001:2000 certified. In recent years the company has grown and now employs approximately 430 employees. The company sponsors social, cultural, and sporting events. It is one of the largest and most significant companies in the region.
The company has received awards from the investment and business development agency, CzechInvest, the Association for Foreign Investments (AFI), and from general partners of the partnership programme supporting the inflow of direct foreign investment to the Czech Republic under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade:

MOTOR JIKOV Strojírenská a.s. is a majority owner of the SOOO ČEBEL subsidiary in the Republic of Belarus.
The company is a part of the MOTOR JIKOV Group a.s., which represents four engineering and foundry joint-stock companies in South Bohemia. The Group has approximately 1,100 employees with a turnover of CZK 1.5 billion (2006). The companies significantly contribute to the inflow of foreign investment into the region. A large proportion of production is destined for export. The companies mainly specialise in: automotive components and accessories for passenger cars and lorries, aluminium and zinc alloy die cast parts, gray and ductile cast iron parts, purpose-built machine tools, assembling tools, injection moulds for metal, riveting tools, small agricultural machinery, and cleaning machines. In early 2007 the names of all the companies were unified with every company’s name starting with “MOTOR JIKOV”.
